The Council of the Judiciary indicated that, respecting the principle of independence, it recommended that judges avail themselves of this modality when security is threatened in the performance of functions. This before the scenario of insecurity that exists in the province.
The president of the Provincial Court of Guayas, Fabiola Gallardo, had requested that the judges who handle criminal cases be able to hold telematic hearings.

Gallardo thanked the Judiciary for responding to the request.
The Judiciary urged the judges to adhere to the protocol for conducting video hearings, which indicates that judges can order hearings to be held telematically, coordinating the day and time with their team.
