An attack by Russian-linked hackers on banks in Europe is being prepared. This is reported by the portal RTL Niews.
The media writes about the hacker groups Anonymous Sudana, REvil and Killnet, which are associated with Russia. Allegedly, they are threatening to carry out a cyber attack, which will be a response to Western support for Ukraine.
The publication cites the views of representatives of a number of companies on the risks of a cyberattack. So, the Dutch cybersecurity company Computest called this threat real, but she does not know if hackers will be able to carry out the attack. At the same time, FalconFeeds admitted that the SWIFT banking system could be the target of hackers – the financial system could suffer from a long-term disruption of SWIFT, since this system “centrally manages certain data.”
Previously, Killnet hackers were accused of a cyberattack on a hospital in the Netherlands.
In February, Killnet hackers announced that the website of the American military base Ramstein in Germany had been hacked. Attacks on several NATO sites have also been reported.
