After poisoning 62 people in Bratsk, the owner of a fast food cafe was detained. A criminal case has been initiated, according to the investigating authorities of the RF Investigative Committee for the Irkutsk region.
The case was opened under the article on the production and sale of products that do not meet safety requirements. The maximum penalty for it is imprisonment for up to two years. The cafe owner has been questioned. The work of the institution is temporarily suspended. All employees of the cafe were sent for bacteriological examination, the investigators seized the grill ovens and documentation.
Rospotrebnadzor found violations of sanitary requirements, the technological process of cooking, food storage conditions and personal hygiene of employees.
Recall that people were massively poisoned by shawarma on June 14 in Bratsk. 62 people reported being unwell, 29 of them were hospitalized, including five children. All of them were diagnosed with an acute intestinal infection. According to the victims, they used shawarma, after which they felt bad.
