The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has prepared a draft order imposing restrictions on the rights to drive a car in relation to those liable for military service who did not appear at the military registration and enlistment office on the agenda.

As specified in the document, restrictions may be imposed if a decision appears in the unified electronic register of military records to take “temporary measures” aimed at “ensuring appearance” on the agenda of the military commissariat. Then this information will be transferred to the traffic police.

The ministry added that the decision could be overturned. The reason for this may be the decision of the draft commission to cancel the conclusion of the military registration and enlistment office or other draft commission for the registration of citizens for military registration.

Recall that on April 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the digitalization of the military registration system, which amends the rules for serving subpoenas. From now on, summonses to those liable for military service are sent in writing and duplicated in electronic form at the State Services. Those who received the summons will not be able to leave the country until they appear at the military registration and enlistment office. If the subpoena is ignored, citizens will not be able to drive a car, manage their property, etc.
