The drones that attacked Moscow on May 30 targeted houses where officers of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service live. Such information is disseminated by the American television channel NBC, citing a high-ranking US official, as well as the melon company Strider Technologies, which conducts intelligence and analyzes information about the conflict in Ukraine.
According to media reports, “drones hit at least one residential building associated with the Foreign Intelligence Service.” The TV channel reports that the building belonged to a Russian government agency that has contracts with a military unit. At the same time, the media notes, there is no reliable information about whether the apartment of any of the SVR officers was damaged or its employees were injured as a result of the attack.
Recall that eight drones attacked Moscow and the Moscow region on May 30. Drones were seen in the areas of Rublyovka and Ilinskoye highway, in the Krasnogorsk district in the village of Ilyinskoye and the village of Timoshkino, in the villages of Romashkovo and Razdory. Three more drones flew all the way to Moscow. The authorities of the capital reported that as a result of the UAV attack, several apartment buildings received minor damage.
Russia called the incident a terrorist attack and blamed Ukraine for the incident.
