We have entered the stage of election fever again. There are plenty of candidates. The participation of some of them is surprising, because it is obvious that they would have no chance of winning. Honestly, I don’t understand why they embark on such an adventure. Perhaps there are reasons that we who are not in the political world do not understand.
Now, the situation in Ecuador requires that the final candidates ask us how they plan to move forward in a country riddled with problems, an alarming crime rate, a growing sense of fear and insecurity, etc.
There are numerous challenges that Ecuador has to face, its rulers will have to be very creative in order to strengthen the credibility of politicians, to restore confidence that better times are possible. You don’t just need effort, but surround yourself with competent, honest and efficient people. Competition alone is useless, fairness alone is useless, and efficiency without value is incomplete. We do not want to see nouveau riche as a result of their actions in public office. We’ve had enough of that. We don’t want to see politicians obsessed with other politicians. We need to be led without demagoguery by honest politicians in good underwear. We want and need continuity around good works, such as the “brotherhood” reserve zone achieved by the current government, ministers who are efficient and effective, and not kings of phrases, it is necessary to know what they are doing, what are the results of their work. before position; there are ministers who never appear on stage, giving a desperately silent performance.
We need decent and critical members of the assembly. We are fed up with henchmen.
We need decent and critical members of the assembly. We are fed up with henchmen. The National Assembly must work in an organized, methodical and efficient manner. He must hold ministers accountable, but not spend his life interrupting their work. Political leaders should strive to improve their personnel in the aforementioned Assembly. “Every brush ends up without bristles”, it is commonly said. The obsession of the ruling and parliamentary representatives must be to achieve a better country, but to step on the ground, taking appropriate actions to achieve it.
Young people should receive good messages, catch excellent attitudes and actions in order to imitate them. Civil plates must reappear. His silence is unworthy. And tolerance towards the same is unforgivable. The contexts in which we will live are difficult: deaths on the streets will not suddenly stop, we will have to continue to borrow as a country, artificial intelligence can unleash terrifying effects on employment. Choosing robots over humans will save costs but starve families.
We don’t want to listen to journalists who are obedient, without objectivity. We need prosperity that treads well with reality. We want to be proud of our politicians, admire them for their struggle, for their good performance.
We need trust, not drowning in hopelessness. A better Ecuador is possible. We must be happy and live in peace. Achievable? Of course. (OR)
