The Municipality of Quito reported that the sale and consumption of liquor in public space during the Quito Festival events is prohibited.
The Metropolitan Council has a wide range of events for the 487 years of the founding of Quito. The agenda that was presented by the mayor, Santiago Guarderas, has more than 400 activities throughout the Metropolitan District.
However, access to the events will be under biosecurity measures and the presentation of the Vaccination card.
Additionally, the sale and consumption of liquor in public space during the events held by Fiestas de Quito, those who violate this measure will receive a fine of USD 200.
During the holidays, the Metropolitan Control Agency (AMC) will have the support of 120 officials. In addition, security operations will also be carried out to control the capacity provided by the National COE in the different activities, many of which are face-to-face, especially in the parishes surrounding the capital.
The Metropolitan Transit Agency reported that the sale is prohibited and consumption of alcoholic beverages by the crew members and users of the goats. At the moment, eight chivas have the operating permit during the festivities.
Among the events that will take place for the 487 years since the founding of the city, there are several concerts that will feature the presence of artists such as Piso 21, Don Medardo y sus Players, Diego Villacís, AU-D, Daniel Páez, Jaime Enrique Aymara, Okan Yore, Marqués, Proyecto Coraza, La Varancia, Papa Chango and more national artists. These festivals will have a permitted capacity of 1,000 people per stage.(I)
