In honor of the 20th anniversary of the animated series Smeshariki, the Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins with images of its characters. According to RBC, the Central Bank titled the publication about this on its website “The World of the Camomile Valley”.

“Smeshariki are round residents of the Romashkova Valley from the animated series of the same name, the first series of which was released in 2003. The series tells about the adventures of heroes who find themselves in various funny situations, solve serious issues, get to know themselves and the world around them. Their kind images have remained incredibly popular for the past 20 years, ”the message says.

In total, three types of coins are issued: silver with a face value of three rubles, made of steel with a nickel coating and copper-nickel alloy with a color coating with a face value of 25 rubles.

On the reverse sides of the coins, the heroes of the animated series Krosh and the Hedgehog are depicted, on top there is a relief inscription “Smeshariki”. The coat of arms of Russia is minted on the front side of the coins and the denomination is indicated. Silver coins are issued with a circulation of 7 thousand pieces, steel – 850 thousand, and with a color coating – 150 thousand.
