Deliveries of Russian oil to international markets in recent weeks continue to exceed the level of February, which Russia took as the starting point for production cuts, Bloomberg writes citing its own calculations.

According to these calculations, the average volume of oil transported by sea in May exceeds the February figures by 270 thousand barrels. in a day. Bloomberg notes that for the first time in the six weeks before May 28, there was a decrease in the volume of deliveries to 3.64 million barrels. per day, but it still remains elevated.

Compared to the agency’s previous estimates (until May 19), when record deliveries of Russian oil to Asia since the beginning of 2022 were recorded at almost 4 million barrels. per day, now there has been a decrease to 3.58 million barrels.

Bloomberg also recorded the arrival of the first tanker carrying Russian oil to Cuba since February.

The agency notes that oil supplies from Russia via the Druzhba pipeline to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary remain stable at about 240 thousand barrels. in a day.

Recall that in early April, Russia announced plans to reduce oil production by 500 thousand barrels by the end of 2023. per day as a preventive measure against the background of the situation on the world market. It was decided to carry out the reduction from the average production level in February.
