The Ministry of Education enabled a survey to find out the interest in going to this type of modality as an alternative to face-to-face attendance.
The Ministry of Education enabled a poll to determine the interest in virtual education for the tax campuses with the start of classes in January 2022 as an alternative to if the return to face-to-face classes is not an option.
The survey is aimed at students Basic General Education and Bachelor of Science.
That State portfolio clarified that students who choose to transfer to that study modality must remain at least one year.
The survey has four questions: the first it refers to which educational institution the student is in (fiscal, fiscal, municipal, private or outside the system); the Monday, whether it belongs to the Sierra or Costa regime; the third, ask about the educational level, for example baccalaureate; and the last, whether or not he would agree to transfer the student in January 2022 to the new institution.
The Minister of Education, María Brown Pérez, indicated that, in December, if a canton reaches 85% vaccination against the coronavirus in two doses, the tax colleges will no longer offer the distance education and if there is the interest of parents in continuing with this modality during the remainder of this school year and the next, they should fill out this survey in order to determine the demand.
Absenteeism in Manabí and deterioration of schools in Esmeraldas were evidenced on the first day of mandatory return to face-to-face classes
“We have an estimate of approximately 25,000 students that could require this service, but to have a more accurate data we are doing a preliminary survey “, he said.
In Ecuador there are about 4.3 million students. In fiscal institutions, more than 3,290,000.
Added that in December the transfer will be requested from the fiscal institution in which they are in-person format to an institution, the same fiscal, remote mode.
He argued that, in the case of Costa regime it is an educational institution called Guayacanes, and in the Sierra-Amazonía it is the Arupos institution.
“As of January, the basic superior and baccalaureate and from the month of February the rest of the educational levels would begin; in the case of the coast there will be a exceptionality for the minor children who will already finish the year in the institution where they are ”, he explained in an interview with this newspaper.
