During the lunch break, as a rule, everything should be fast, and there is a great temptation to eat fast food. However, as dietitian Vasilisa Ponomareva told MedikForum, a useful alternative is also possible. The expert shared tips on how to eat delicious meals in the office and at the same time minimize the risk of getting fat.

First, the nutritionist advises, during your lunch break, you should move your laptop away. “Many people make the mistake of staying at their desk and snacking on the side. But your body comes to life only through fresh air and exercise,” she said.

The nutritionist advised me to stretch my legs and give my eyes a little rest from the screen.

You can also prepare dinner the night before, saving you the hassle of preparing early in the morning. Better yet, make a plan for the weekend with simple and easy-to-sell meals for the work week, the expert noted. Salads, flatbreads, or rice and pasta dishes with lots of vegetables are ideal.

Ponomareva recommended to take a closer look at the conditions in the office: is there a stove or a microwave oven at the workplace. The less you have to cook on the spot, the faster the food will be on the table and the temptation to go to the diner will decrease.

“If a lot of ingredients and a long plate-cutting take too much of your time, get a salad. Just chop lettuce leaves and add diced feta, cocktail tomatoes, nuts, salt and pepper, ”the expert concluded.
