Due to the departure of a significant part of top managers abroad and the demand for rare managerial competencies in Russian companies, difficulties arose with the selection of managers, Kommersant writes with reference to representatives of recruitment agencies.

Recruiting company Cornerstone said the number of inquiries for executives has doubled, with the largest number of inquiries coming from oil, metals, chemicals and agribusiness companies. On average, a vacancy closes from three to six months.

The Ruspartners recruiting agency specified that a significant number of top managers left towards the end of 2022. Moreover, among managers with a salary of more than 60 million rubles. a third left a year, with a salary of 20-60 million rubles – about a quarter.

To solve the problem with the shortage of managerial personnel, some companies offer those who left to work remotely, only occasionally coming to Russia. Other companies are willing to accept that a top manager simultaneously works in two organizations that do not conflict in business. In addition, employers are ready to increase salaries: at the moment, offers have already increased by 30-50% and can continue to grow.
