President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko commented on rumors about his illness. According to him, he had an adenovirus, and he is not going to die.
Lukashenka said that the rumors about his critical state of health are “nothing more than idle reasoning in instant messengers and telegram channels.” The President of Belarus indicated that he had an adenovirus.
He added that the disease was associated with a busy schedule that did not allow him to be treated.
“That’s why I’m not going to die, guys. You will still suffer with me for a very long time,” Lukashenka summed up.
Recall that on May 14 it was reported that the President missed the ceremony of celebrating the Day of the Flag, Emblem and Anthem of Belarus. Journalists wrote that the head of state fell ill – probably caught SARS after participating in events on May 9 in Moscow.
There, by the way, he attended the parade, and after it, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. However, the Belarusian president was not at the breakfast in the Kremlin. The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, then explained this by the fact that Lukashenka had left for festive events in Belarus.
