The leaders of the G7 (G7) countries, as part of the summit in Japanese Hiroshima, adopted the US line, coordinated with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and achieving peace. This is written by the Italian edition of Corriere della Sera.
The newspaper notes that the participants of the G7 summit refused the mediation of China and the Vatican in resolving the conflict between Moscow and Kiev. They considered the plan proposed earlier by Zelensky as a “peace formula” the only possible basis for ending the conflict.
Earlier, the Prime Minister and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud said that the state is ready to continue to make mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine to resolve the conflict.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelensky presented ten points of the “peace formula” for Ukraine in November last year during the G20 summit. The plan involves radiation, food and energy security, the release of all prisoners, the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the withdrawal of Russian troops and the cessation of hostilities, counteracting ecocide, preventing escalation and fixing that the conflict is over.
Moscow, however, ruled out the adoption of Zelensky’s proposed plan, as well as any other that would not take into account Moscow’s sovereignty over the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
