The Yakutsk city court sentenced a nanny to three years in prison in a case of torturing two minors. This is reported by TASS with reference to the prosecutor’s office of Yakutia.
“The prosecutor’s office of the city of Yakutsk supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 34-year-old local resident. She was convicted under paragraphs “a”, “d”, part 2 of Art. 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture committed against two minors), the report says. “Based on the results of the consideration of the criminal case, the court, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, sentenced the woman to three years in prison to be served in a general regime colony. The convict was taken into custody in the courtroom.”
The court established that from January 9 to January 21 this year, while providing temporary care services for two children born in 2018 and 2020, out of personal hostility, she systematically inflicted physical and mental suffering on them by beating and committing other violent acts against them.
“After changing the behavior of the children, having learned about the actions of the woman, their mother took measures to isolate her sons and made the actions of the nanny public. Psychological assistance was provided to the injured children, ”the administration of the RF Investigative Committee for Yakutia said. In addition, the court satisfied a civil claim in the amount of 500 thousand rubles. The verdict has not entered into force.
