Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin ordered quarantine in several areas of the capital due to bird flu. According to relevant documents, quarantine is introduced in connection with cases of infection of wild birds in the Orekhovo-Borisovo and Brateevo regions.

According to the authorities, the foci of the spread of the virus are the western part of the Borisovsky pond and the area near the Besedinsky highway between houses 15 and 17s13.

The list of districts in which quarantine measures will be introduced to prevent the spread of the virus includes Brateevo, Kapotnya, Maryino, Lyublino, Pechatniki, Nagatinsky backwater, Nagatino-Sadovniki, Moskvorechye-Saburovo, Tsaritsyno, Biryulyovo East and West, Orekhovo-Borisovo North and Southern, Zyablikovo, Chertanovo Northern and Central.

For the duration of the quarantine, citizens will be banned from visiting areas where the virus is spread. In areas where restrictive measures will be introduced, it will not be possible to treat sick birds. Also, the city authorities will prohibit the import and export of birds and eggs, it will not be possible to move birds, remove feathers and feathers from fallen individuals, hold agricultural fairs and other events related to the movement of birds.

We add that people can become infected with bird flu. According to the WHO, most infections occur through direct contact with infected birds or contaminated environments. The illness may present as a mild upper respiratory tract infection, accompanied by fever and an early cough with sputum that can quickly progress to pneumonia.
