The Grain Deal has been extended for another two months. According to Anadolu, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan made such a statement.
He stated that Turkey will make every effort for its full implementation of the deal. According to the president, Moscow gave Ankara guarantees for the unhindered exit of Turkish ships from the Ukrainian ports of Nikolaev and Olvia.
Recall that the “grain deal” was concluded in July 2022. It included two parts: the Black Sea Grain Initiative – an agreement on the safe export of Ukrainian grain from the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny and the removal of restrictions on the access of Russian agricultural products to the world market.
Meanwhile, the Russian side has repeatedly complained that only part of the deal, which concerns the export of Ukrainian grain, is being implemented. Moscow insisted on the package nature of the agreement: the part that concerns Russian exports must also be implemented.
The other day, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that Russia sees no progress in the implementation of the Russian part of the “grain deal” concerning the export of agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets.
