The authorities of the Belgorod region assured that ninth-graders will receive diplomas with honors even without state exams. About this writes the publication “Rise”.
Earlier, the regional Ministry of Education reported that ninth grade graduates of 284 schools would not receive the relevant certificates in 2023 due to the “features” of the state final certification.
In a conversation with the publication, the head of the department, Andrei Milekhin, said that after complaints from the parents of ninth-graders, the governor intervened in the situation. According to him, Vyacheslav Gladkov appealed to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with a request to consider the possibility of issuing certificates of basic general education with honors to ninth-graders from the border regions of the Belgorod region, who have excellent marks in all subjects.
The initiative was tentatively approved by the federal agency. It is expected that relevant changes to the regulations will be made in the near future.
Earlier, we note that in the border regions, children were forcibly transferred to distance learning and the OGE was canceled. As it turned out, certificates with honors under such a system are not provided. “Rise” indicates that such restrictions did not affect the eleventh graders.
