“I am outraged that we are showing this tournament now, we are also discussing it. I think this is very wrong. And I, in fact, resent the decision of who took them and why this is necessary, ”he said.
The world championship is shown on Match TV channels. Group matches of the World Cup are held from 12 to 23 May, the quarter-finals of the tournament will be held on 25 May. The tournament will end with medal games on Sunday, May 28.
Vyacheslav Fetisov is a two-time Olympic champion in hockey, a seven-time world champion, and a two-time Stanley Cup winner. From 2002 to 2004 he was the Minister of Sports of Russia. From November 2004 to October 2008, he headed the Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sports (Rossport).
In December 2011, he became First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, and since September 2016, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs.
