Kyiv staged the theft of the horse Zazu belonging to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov from the Czech stable in order to return the horse to its owner. According to RBC, Kadyrov said this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, at the beginning of the year, representatives of the Ukrainian special services contacted him through intermediaries. They offered Kadyrov to buy out Zaza, the horse since 2014, due to sanctions against the head of Chechnya, was in the Czech Republic as Kadyrov’s frozen property.
“Honestly, I thought that Zazu would be transferred somehow officially, with the lifting of sanctions from him and the like,” Kadyrov wrote. “But it turned out that the secret services had a daring plan – they simply staged his theft from a stable in the Czech Republic in collusion with the Czech police.” “And it cost me his return … attention: 18 thousand dollars! Yes, yes, it was at that amount that the Czech law enforcement agencies estimated him at that time, ”Kadyrov wrote.
Now the horse is “on its way home.” Kadyrov noted that “considering his real value and excellent pedigree, these are mere pennies.” He himself estimates the cost of the horse at $10 million.
Czech police reported the theft of 16-year-old Zazu in early March. According to law enforcement agencies, the thief “removed the chain with a carbine from the sliding door and took away the breeding stallion.” Then Kadyrov was surprised by what happened: “In our republic, a car can be left open for the night, and then someone takes the sanctioned horse out of the corral, and the law enforcement officers find out about it only after a few days.”
According to Jezdci.cz, Kadyrov bought the horse in 2012. In total, the stallion participated in 36 races, won nine of them and earned more than 1.2 million euros.
