Russia categorically rejects the Turkish opposition’s accusations of allegedly interfering in elections in that country. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

The statement of Turkish politician Kemal Kılıçdaroglu, who also claims to be the head of state, “made a lot of noise” in Turkey, Peskov said.

“We immediately stated that we categorically do not accept the accusations of interference in the elections in Turkey. This is out of the question,” he stressed.

Peskov noted that Kilychdaroglu reported the presence of some evidence, which he still has not provided. And he did not present them because they do not exist, Putin’s press secretary is sure.

According to him, in general, the Kremlin is extremely disappointed with such a statement by Kılıçdaroğlu.

The other day, we recall, the main opponent of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the elections, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, accused Russia of plotting and publishing fakes. “If you want to continue our friendship after May 15, keep your hands off the Turkish state,” he said.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that such accusations were “unfair”.
