A student of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University has been diagnosed with measles. As stated in the capital’s department of Rospotrebnadzor, the leadership of the university was obliged to carry out anti-epidemic measures.
The ministry said in a statement that an epidemiological investigation has already been launched, and a circle of contact persons has been identified. Now experts are taking all measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
It is noted that the building of the Shuvalov Corps has already been disinfected. Medical observation is carried out for those who have been in contact with the infected, students and teachers who have not had measles and are not vaccinated are vaccinated.
The leadership of the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University reported on the transfer to remote mode of students of 1-3 years of undergraduate, 1st year of master’s degree, as well as all additional education programs and other events. The corresponding restrictions are valid until May 26.
We add that measles diseases were previously detected in other metropolitan universities, in particular, at the Gubkin University of Oil and Gas and the Moscow Polytechnic University. According to Rospotrebnadzor, cases of measles have been identified in 44 regions of the country in general.
