In Ukraine, about 250 sanctioned legal entities and individuals of the Russian Federation have been identified, whose assets will be forcibly seized into state revenue. About this, according to RIA Novosti with reference to local media, said the director of the sanctions policy department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice Inna Bogatykh.

According to her, the assets of 230-250 legal entities and individuals of the Russian Federation have been identified so far.

“These are assets that can mean big business, and maybe very small assets,” she said, adding that data about them is in the registries.

The official noted that it is possible to collect the assets of sanctioned persons when a “blocking sanction” is applied to these persons. Rich specified that after May 24, 2022, blocking sanctions were applied to 6,800 people.

Recall that last year an international expert group, headed by the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky Andrey Yermak and former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, presented a roadmap for individual sanctions against individuals and legal entities in Russia. Then the number of potential candidates was at least 12 thousand people.
