Several landslides were registered in Quito due to the earthquake

Authorities reported several earth movements due to the earthquake.

The 4.5 magnitude earthquake that was registered on the morning of this Tuesday, November 23, caused several collapses of mountains and slopes in the capital.

The tremor originated clouds of dust that alerted citizens, who uploaded photos and videos to social networks. These were several earth movements caused by the earthquake in the Tumbaco Valley, in the northeast of Quito.

From the Integrated Security Service ECU911 they reported a collapse in the avenue of the Conquerors and Simón Bolívar.

There was also a landslide in the Oswaldo Guayasamín avenue, right at the tollbooth of the same name and another on the avenue Interoceanic, at the height of the old bridge of El Chiche.

The municipal authorities reported that they are already conducting inspections of the entire Metropolitan District and they will start with the cleaning work. (I)
