He noted that, after a diagnosis at more than 12,000 fiscal institutions nationwide, it was determined that about $ 650 million would be required to carry out a comprehensive intervention.

There was an initial intervention and he stated that there are some 40 educational institutions that are not in infrastructure conditions; many of them are in Manabí, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas and Guayas.

At Mount Sinai district indicated that there are a large number of educational institutions that have not only been affected by the weather and lack of maintenance, but also because of theft and vandalism.

He explained that in that district the vast majority of educational institutions that were built have mobile classrooms with short lifespan and who have completed their cycle of use aggravated with impairment.
