Writer Zakhar Prilepin said that he received a fracture of both legs after his car was blown up in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In his Telegram channel, he shared the details of what happened.
According to Prilepin, it was he who was driving, and his friend Alexander Shubin was in the passenger seat. Below him, there was an explosion.
The writer added that he lost consciousness for several minutes, and when he woke up, crawled to the broken windshield. The villagers ran up and helped him out.
“Both my legs are broken (one fracture is open) and there is something else,” Prilepin wrote.
Recall that Prilepin’s car was blown up on the highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region on the morning of May 6. As a result of the incident, his colleague Alexander Shubin, an employee of the Oplot battalion of the National Guard, died. The writer himself was injured.
Prilepin underwent an operation, after which he was temporarily put into drug-induced sleep.
Investigators opened a criminal case on the attack. On the same day, police arrested a suspect in connection with the bombing. During interrogation, he admitted that he acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services.
