They murder a young man with several gunshot wounds in the suburb of Guayaquil

A 21-year-old young man was killed with at least six shots when he was in San Martín and 38 streets, a suburb of Guayaquil, on the night of this Monday the 22nd. The violent act occurred around 9:00 p.m.

According to police inquiries, a Vitara SZ vehicle stopped in front of the individual and he was attacked from the inside of the vehicle and attacked repeatedly.

Police personnel found the victim with a drug sleeve in his mouth, said Wilson Torres, chief of the Portete District.

Six ballistic evidence was also found at the scene.

As part of the police proceedings, agents reviewed security cameras to identify those responsible for the incident. Until this morning, no people arrested in the case were reported.

The Police presume that the motive for the murder would be the dispute over territory for drug trafficking.

In the same area, Torres declared that drug trafficking is one of the recurring problems in the area. Last Monday and Saturday two people related to that were arrested.

Murders in zone 8, which also includes Durán and Samborondón, already exceeded 590 cases as of last weekend.

On Monday of this week, the Police reported the discovery of two bodies in sectors of Durán. In the morning hours, agents found a human head inside a jute bag in the Cazadores neighborhood. A kilometer later, wrapped in sheets, they found the rest of the body in a parking lot in the Primavera 2 citadel.

In the afternoon of that same day, police agents found a corpse in a state of decomposition at km 7.5 of the Duran-Tambo road.
