Rospotrebnadzor experts have named useful options for replacing sweets. They urged to replace harmful sweets, in particular, with dried fruits and urbech.

The department noted that in addition to a large dose of sugar, sweets contain food colors, flavors, emulsifiers and trans fats that do not bring any benefit to the human body. Therefore, it is better to give preference to alternative options.

For example, dried fruits – prunes, dried apricots, dates and raisins, which include vitamins and minerals, fiber and antioxidants. They help maintain gut, heart, skin, and brain health and boost immunity. “It is important to remember that candied fruits are not included in this useful group – they have more sugar and calories,” the Rospotrebnadzor noted.

Experts recommended replacing sweets with nuts, which are rich in protein, essential fatty acids and trace elements. Nuts are very nutritious – a handful of nuts can be a great snack between main meals.

Those who cannot refuse chocolate should pay attention to dark chocolate, which contains more than 72% cocoa beans. It is rich in vitamins, phosphorus, calcium and potassium.

Honey will help strengthen the immune system and normalize the functioning of the digestive tract, including whipped honey soufflé – a delicacy with the addition of fruits, berries and nuts.

Useful sweets include marshmallows and marshmallows, which are based on fruit or berry puree, egg whites and natural thickeners, as well as low-calorie marmalade containing inulin and pectin. It is important to choose options without sugar, additives and chocolate shell.

Among other options given by experts of the department: raw desserts, preserves, jams, fruit and berry purees, natural syrups, smoothies, urbech, nut pastes and muesli.

“Before using any new product, be sure to read the contraindications. Do not forget that in this case the measure is important. In large quantities, even the most useful products can be harmful, ”Rospotrebnadzor employees warned. So, for example, the daily norm of dark chocolate should not exceed 30 grams or a third of a bar.
