On Saturday evening, “Rays of Victory” will light up in the sky over St. Petersburg.

Searchlights will shine from the roofs of two high-rise buildings at the entrance to Moskovsky Prospekt from the side of Pulkovskoye Highway. They will be switched on at 21:50 and switched off at 4 am until Victory Day on May 9.

Also tonight, light installations dedicated to the Great Victory will appear on the firewalls of buildings. They will work until May 15th.

So, on the wall of the house on Kamennoostrovsky Prospect, 26-28, an eternal flame and cranes will appear against the background of lines from a poem by Rasul Gamzatov. On the facade of the building at 70 Bolshoy Prospekt Vasilievsky Island, a festive postcard depicting the banner of Victory and the Order of the Great Patriotic War will be placed. House number 14 on Kondratievsky Prospekt will be decorated with a projection of Nikolai Repin’s painting “With Victory!”

Also, flying cranes will appear on the facade of the Russian National Library at 165 Moskovsky Prospekt, and house number 10 on Novgorodsky Prospekt in Shushary will be decorated with a poster by artist Viktor Slyshchenko “With Victory!”. On Moskovsky Prospect, 91, a projection of a photograph of 1944 will be placed, which depicts MPVO combatants. At house number 85 “A” on the 8th line of V.O. there will be a photograph of Boris Losin “Salute in honor of the 41st anniversary of October in Leningrad”.
