Golovin’s agent said Newcastle, West Ham and Everton were interested in the player
Alexander Klyuev, agent of the Russian midfielder Monaco Alexander Golovin, named three clubs in the English Premier League (EPL) that were interested in the player. It is reported by “Championship”.
According to a representative of the player, the transfer of his client in early 2022 was considered by Newcastle. “There was a proposal, we were ready to discuss it if the clubs agreed,” said Klyuev.
The agent also noted that at different times West Ham and Everton were interested in Golovin. “But Sasha wanted to join a club that plays in European competitions, because he is a maximalist,” Klyuev said.
Golovin’s current contract with Monaco runs until June 30, 2026. He has made 30 league appearances this season, scoring seven goals and making seven assists.
