Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan – for the first time since suffering from the stomach flu – gives an interview to a number of Turkish TV channels. He assured that he was feeling well.
Recall that this week the Turkish leader gave an interview to local TV channels live, but Erdogan suddenly became ill. After a long pause, he returned to the air and said that he had caught the stomach flu.
On the recommendation of doctors, he missed a number of campaign events on Wednesday.
However, the day before, he personally participated in the Teknofest festival in Istanbul.
“Better, thank God. You noticed that we have already restored our program on the ground,” Erdogan told reporters.
Recall that the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey are scheduled for May 14. The incumbent head of state, a candidate from the opposition People’s Alliance, 74-year-old Kemal Kılıçdaroglu, as well as the leader of the Memleket party, 58-year-old Muharrem Ince and 55-year-old candidate from the Ata alliance, Sinan Ogan, will compete for the highest state post.
