The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued an alert on rains and storms valid until August 11, where it anticipates an increase in intensity and distribution in areas of the Amazon and Inter-Andean region.
The entity pointed out that the areas with a very high level of threat are located in the center and south, in various locations in the provinces of Zamora Chinchipe, Morona Santiago, Azuay, Cañar and Chimborazo.
In the Inter-Andean region, the most relevant rains will be accompanied by storms with possible hail and snow fall, especially in the center and south of the region between August 10 and 11. In the Amazon region, the most intense rainfall will occur in the south of the region and the foothills of the mountain range, with greater emphasis between August 10 and 11.
With regard to temperature, in the Coast they will oscillate between 20 °C and 30 °C, in the Sierra these will be between 6 °C and 21 °C. In the Amazon, they will be between 18 °C and 28 °C.
The Insular region will have temperatures between 20 °C to 26 °C.
Regarding ultraviolet radiation, it is expected to be between 5 and 9. (YO)
