The governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, will soon resign, RBC reports, citing five sources close to the presidential administration. He can be replaced by Deputy Finance Minister Mikhail Kotyukov, four of them say.
In addition, two sources said that the first vice-speaker of the Federation Council Andrey Yatskin is among the possible candidates.
One of the interlocutors of the agency said that Uss had already written a letter of resignation. It is expected that he will become a senator from the legislature of the region.
“We don’t comment on rumours. We urge you to use official information, ”the press service of the governor and the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory said.
Earlier, Vedomosti and Kommersant reported on the possible resignation of Uss. At the same time, as sources said, the Krasnoyarsk governor expected to keep his post and was ready to run for a second term. However, the Kremlin believed that it would be difficult for Uss to get re-elected due to low ratings and a large demand for a change of governor among the inhabitants of the region.
