In the United States, a Russian woman was sentenced to 21 years in prison for poisoning and robbing a woman

A New York court has sentenced Russian woman Victoria Nasyrova to 21 years in prison, found guilty of poisoning a woman and stealing her documents and belongings, TASS reports citing a statement from the Queens district prosecutor’s office in New York.

According to the prosecutor’s office, in August 2016 Nasyrova tried to poison a resident of Queens who looked like her, after which she stole documents and personal belongings from her. The poisoning attempt was made with a cheesecake that was laced with phenazepam. The victim was taken to the hospital, and later discovered the loss of her passport and other documents, as well as a gold ring and money.

According to Nasyrova’s lawyer, she is a Russian citizen, so after serving her sentence, she is likely to be deported.

Nasyrova was detained in New York in March 2017 on suspicion of other crimes. She was charged with a series of robberies and poisonings in New York, the Russian woman denied guilt. According to investigators, Nasyrova found potential male victims on Russian-language dating sites, made dates with them, and when they met, mixed intoxicants into drinks or food, after which she robbed them.

In Russia, Nasyrova is suspected of the murder of Alla Alekseenko, committed in October 2014 in Krasnodar with the intent to steal. Since 2015, she has been on the international wanted list at the request of the Russian authorities.
