Gosstroynadzor issued a permit to carry out work on the reconstruction of the greenhouses of the Tauride Garden.
The Gazprom Social Initiatives Support Fund has been allowed to carry out work to preserve the federal cultural heritage site Tauride Garden with a Pond as part of the ensemble of the Tauride Palace federal cultural heritage site.
The reconstruction will be carried out in accordance with the terms of the concession agreement with the city, concluded at the end of December 2020. The Foundation must create a new public space in the Tauride Garden: a socio-cultural facility with three greenhouses with an area of at least 1000 sq. m. m and concert halls. At the same time, at least 60% of the premises should be occupied by the greenhouses themselves, as well as concert and exhibition facilities. In return, the foundation will receive the right to operate a social and cultural facility for a period of 49 years. The volume of investments in the project at the time of the conclusion of the agreement was estimated at no less than 700 million rubles. At the same time, the new public space should open to visitors no later than July 1, 2025.
