On April 14, an exhibition dedicated to theater photography opened at the ROSPHOTO Museum and Exhibition Center.
The exposition presents more than two hundred photographs from the collections of the State Museum and Exhibition Center ROSPHOTO, the State Central Theater Museum. A. A. Bakhrushin, the St. Petersburg State Museum of Theater and Musical Art, the Russian National Library, as well as the work of contemporary St. Petersburg theater photographers.
At the exhibition you can see photos of many outstanding figures of theatrical art, scenes of performances, rehearsals.
The photographs of the exposition convey the features of the genres of theatrical art: drama, opera, puppetry, pantomime, modern synthetic spectacular forms, reveal the talents of directors, actors, singers, mimes, set designers, representatives of various creative professions.
In parallel with the exhibition project, ROSPHOTO will host the annual scientific conference “Photography in the Museum”, dedicated in 2023 to theatrical photographic collections of museums and archives of the Russian Federation.
