The Federal Tax Service of Russia began sending letters to the owners of cryptocurrencies. According to RBC with reference to the data of the service for monitoring, accounting and analytics of crypto assets BitOK, tax authorities are requesting information about the ownership of digital assets and transactions.

Letters are sent to individuals who made transactions with cryptocurrencies in 2021 and 2022 and submitted 3-NDFL declarations. The publication indicates that the documents are requested to be presented urgently.
