Honored Artist of Russia Danila Kozlovsky said that he did not leave the country. He also noted that the words for which he was required to be checked for extremism were spoken on the set of the TV series Karamora. In his Telegram channel, he wrote that he does not have a second citizenship and he did not “escape” from Russia.
The actor added that he also receives all income in the country.
Kozlovsky explained that he has a child living in the USA, and he visited him in between performances, which does not give grounds to assert that the actor “escaped” from Russia.
Kozlovsky also stated that he “did not call” for rallies and “shouting slogans”. Such words were said on the set of the historical series about the revolution in front of the actors of crowd scenes. The artist explained that he explained to the actors their task.
Moreover, Kozlovsky noted, now his lawyers are preparing statements to the competent authorities with a request to check the actions of Vitaly Borodin. According to the actor, “writing denunciations”, “knocking” and “arranging a witch hunt” are things that are not connected with patriotism.
According to RBC, Vitaly Borodin, who calls himself the head of the “Federal project for security and combating corruption”, is known for complaints about the media, artists and scandals on talk shows. He had previously asked to check Kozlovsky for discrediting the army and calls for extremist activities.
