Police officers have detained a man who threatened a married couple with a knife at the Voykovskaya metro station in Moscow after refusing to take a picture. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
The head office said that a man and a woman turned to the police at the Voykovskaya metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya line for help. “The couple said that a man approached them on the platform and asked them to take a photo together. Having received a refusal, the stranger began to behave aggressively, took out a knife and began to threaten them, and after a short pursuit he retreated, ”the press service said.
Police located and arrested the perpetrator at the scene. It turned out to be a drunk 27-year-old resident of the Moscow region. “Police officers confiscated a knife from a suspect in the threat of murder and took it to the internal affairs bodies,” the central office added.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee (Part 1, Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In addition, the offender was brought to administrative responsibility for appearing in public places in a state of intoxication.
