Serbia has not sold weapons to Ukraine, Russia or any other country involved in the conflict, Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said. According to him, Belgrade has already refuted the relevant accusations “more than ten times,” RBC reports.
“Everything that has been published on this topic is a false assumption,” Vucevic said. At the same time, he admitted that some weapons from Serbia could end up in Ukraine. In this case, according to him, this happened “not by the will of Belgrade”, but because of states that “do not comply with bilateral treaties.”
Vucevic also suggested that “someone” intended to involve Serbia in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but assured that Belgrade was consistently adhering to its policy.
Earlier, Reuters, citing secret US documents leaked to the Internet, wrote that the Serbian authorities refused to train the Ukrainian military, but agreed to transfer weapons to Ukraine or have already done so, Belgrade “has the political will” for this.
