Israeli fighter jets attacked the military complex of the fourth division of the Syrian army, radar systems and artillery positions in response to the launch of missiles on the territory of the Jewish state from Syria. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Israel Defense Forces.
“Some time ago, fighter jets carried out additional strikes against targets in Syria, including the military complex of the 4th division of the Syrian Armed Forces, military radar systems and artillery posts used by the Syrian Armed Forces. This follows previous strikes today on Syrian territory against launchers that fired missiles into Israeli territory, which were carried out by UAVs in response to missile launches into Israeli territory. The Israel Defense Forces holds Syria responsible for all actions taking place on its territory and will not allow any attempt to violate Israeli sovereignty,” the military said in a statement.
In addition, Israel responded with artillery fire to rocket attacks on the areas from which the fire was fired, the press service noted.
The Israeli military recorded on Saturday evening the launch of three rockets from Syrian territory, one of them flew into Israeli territory and fell in an uninhabited area on the Golan Heights. A few hours later on Sunday night, “three more rockets were fired from Syrian territory towards Israel, two of them flew into Israeli territory,” the army press service said. The military specified that during the second missile attack from Syria, “one missile fell in an uninhabited area, the second was intercepted by the air defense system.”
