Ten out of thirteen bars were closed and sealed on Lomonosov Street in the center of St. Petersburg. On the night of April 8, there were searches in the framework of the case of the sale of alcohol to underage visitors. According to TASS with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city and region, 13 establishments were checked, 10 of them were eventually closed.
In addition, as part of the raid, the police found a drunk 16-year-old teenager, the fact of drinking alcohol was confirmed by a rapid test. The minor was handed over to legal representatives, and administrative proceedings were initiated on this fact.
As previously reported by the Investigative Committee, the searches are connected with a criminal case initiated in March on the sale of alcohol in establishments to underage visitors. According to investigators, on February 22, an unknown person published an announcement on the Web that an event with an age limit of 16+ was being held in one of the bars. According to law enforcement officers, the attackers sold alcohol to an unlimited circle of teenagers.
