According to investigators, the incident occurred on March 21 at a climbing site near the cliff of the Tzolotl canyon in the village of Arani, Khunzakh district of Dagestan. The manager of the attraction put climbing equipment on a girl who wanted to make an extreme jump, but did not instruct and “did not evaluate the safety of the actions performed.” Having stumbled, the girl lost her balance and fell off a cliff. As she fell, she hit a stone wall, where she was stopped by safety ropes. As a result of falling and hitting a rock, the victim received multiple fractures and bruises.
A criminal case has been initiated against the organizer of extreme jumps under the article on the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers, which negligently caused serious bodily harm.
