A working group in the State Duma is now developing measures against artists who have left Russia and act with an “anti-Russian” position. As Alexander Sholokhov, the first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Culture, explained to RIA Novosti, the restrictions will affect only those who actively act against the country, and not just express their position.
According to him, this is a “group of people” who do not just declare their position, but finance the Ukrainian side.
“But we understand, if we call it a little differently, these people buy weapons with which they will kill our guys, their fellow citizens. And in relation to these people, it is worthwhile to seriously understand, ”Sholokhov specified.
The problem, he noted, is that most of these people still receive money from Russia, and the measures being developed by the working group will concern “primarily the financial side”, as well as issues related to the ability of the departed artists “to use all civil rights” of the Russian Federation.
Sholokhov added that the next meeting of the working group has not yet been scheduled, but this issue will probably be considered in the second half of May.
