Former US President Donald Trump raised $4 million in donations within five hours of reports of indictments. It is reported by RBC with reference to Bloomberg.
Donations, according to the Trump campaign, came from all 50 states in the country within five hours of the indictment’s release, with a quarter of them coming from first-time donators.
It will be possible to verify the reliability of these data only after the election headquarters submits a financial report for the first quarter of this year, the agency notes. This will happen by April 15th.
By the beginning of the year, the Trump campaign had less than $4 million in its accounts, according to Bloomberg.
Donald Trump has become the first ex-President of the United States to face criminal charges. On March 31, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office contacted his lawyer about the charges – what exactly, has not yet been disclosed.
The Associated Press, citing sources, reported that the ex-president should face at least one criminal charge. According to CNN sources, Trump is going to be charged with more than 30 counts related to business fraud.
