The president of Bienal Quito, Yadhira Alvarez, noted that the pandemic has left many questions in the architectural field, for example, about everyday space, the way in which public space was left uninhabited and instead adapted to the home for many other activities. “These big questions are what we intend to answer with the experts,” he added.
Another novelty in this event will be that will return to the presence, although it will maintain several activities virtually so that more people can take part in the talks.
In addition, this year the MIO21, is an architecture project that will transfer the academic activities of the biennial to the public. Open houses and guided tours will be offered in the neighborhoods of La Magdalena, San Marcos, Guápulo and La Mariscal, They are scheduled to take place from November 25 to 28 of this year.
