In St. Petersburg, the second stage of the plant-manufacturer of socially significant drugs for the treatment of oncological diseases Pharmasyntez-Nord was launched.
“The plant is by far the largest in the country for the production of anticancer drugs. In terms of production, more than 100 items. This project will cover most of the demand for these drugs throughout the country, ”said Vikram Singh Punia, President of JSC Pharmasyntez, at the opening ceremony of the plant, whose words are quoted by TASS.
He stressed that more than 50% of the substances for these drugs are domestic. According to him, the total investment of Pharmasyntez on this site alone amounted to 14 billion rubles, of which 9 billion rubles have already been invested.
The volume of investments in the creation of the second stage of the plant amounted to 5 billion rubles, the launch of the third stage is planned in 2026, which will increase the production of biotechnological pharmaceutical substances from 150 kg to 250 kg per year. The planned investments will amount to 6.2 billion rubles.
