The leader of the Forward Italy party, former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and his girlfriend Marta Fashina are seriously afraid of the outbreak of a nuclear war and are looking for a house with a bomb shelter, La Stampa newspaper writes.
According to journalists, the initiative comes from 33-year-old Fashina, with whom 86-year-old Berlusconi played a “symbolic wedding” a year ago. The newspaper notes that now the couple is trying to find a house with a shelter from radioactive fallout, which Fashina said in a conversation with several people. According to the politician’s girlfriend, the shelter should allow them “to save themselves from a nuclear wave that could result from an attack in England.”
The newspaper’s sources claim that the politician’s residence also created “a list of people who must be saved in the event of a nuclear apocalypse.”
At the same time, the newspaper Libero Quotidiano reported “restless moods” among Berlusconi’s entourage. According to the publication, Fashina is making every effort to find the right house with a bomb shelter, but so far it has not been possible to find a building that meets the politician’s needs.
