Colombia seizes 1.1 tons of cocaine that left Guayaquil; band leader would be the father of a renowned actress

The Colombian Antinarcotics Police announced this Wednesday of the seizure of a drug shipment in the port of Buenaventura the day before. In total there were 1.1 tons of cocaine that was camouflaged in a container with cocoa products.

The authorities found the drug in a container that had left the port of Guayaquil and had made a stop at the port of Buenaventura to go to Cartagena and then go to the port of Valencia, in Spain.

The director of the Anti-narcotics Police, General Ricardo Alarcón, said that the cargo had a value of around 55 million dollars in that country and that the cocaine hydrochloride came from the Tumaco area, specifically from Alto Mira and Frontera.

Alarcón specified that the organization that made the shipment, which was already the second, would be led by the father of a well-known Colombian actress, however, he did not disclose the name.

“This drug is part of the second shipment from an organization which is led by the father of an important Colombian actress,” he said.

According to information from The Colombian, It is being investigated why the drug was in this shipment from an Ecuadorian company registered in Samborondón. It was indicated that the company has not been linked to the process.
