Two foreigners were apprehended by the residents of the El Chorrillo sector, in the Zaruma canton. This came after an elderly couple screamed for help at the apparent kidnapping of a newborn.
This fact was recorded around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two subjects approached the house where the girl was in the care of the couple and, under threats with firearms, took the 22-day-old infant in their arms.
One of the foreigners asked about the minor, entered the home and immediately left in a hasty race. Immediately the neighbors heard cries for help and ran after the two subjects to rescue the minor, said neighbors of the site.

One of them was hit by people and decided to abandon the newborn in the middle of the brush while he was apprehended and hit with various objects. Another group of people held the other subject a few meters away. And after a few minutes, both were handed over to the Police.
The alleged kidnappers were identified as Gabriel MG, 24, and Alejandro MC, both of Venezuelan nationality, who do not have a criminal record, it was said.
The mother of the newborn said that she will file the complaint before the hearing to file charges against the suspects.
